Ketamine Infusion Therapy for Jacob Eaton

Hello my name is Laura Eaton and I am sharing our story on behalf of my husband Jacob Eaton who is a retired Combat Marine Veteran who served from 2002-2015. Since then he has been diagnosed with severe PTSD, bipolar disorder, anxiety, and depression. He has battled with demons inside his head for so long that he has been hospitalized several times because of mental health breakdowns that he cannot get under control. We have tried everything in our power to come up with some other solution then baring our soul to the public, but there is no other way.

We recently became aware and deeply interested in Ketamine infusion therapy which has an 85% success rate in treating PTSD and depression. Jake has tried pills, therapy, psychiatrics, He has been in programs and groups and still it leaves him feeling dead and lost inside. This can be covered by the VA, but the process is long and excruciating and he doesn’t have it in him or the mental capacity to wait that long, as symptoms have come back full force. The VA has done an exceptional job in helping us along the way but we just can’t wait another 3 months for them to decide whether or not they want to cover the treatment, when he is suffering now.

The past week has been mentally exhausting for him as obstacle after obstacle has worn him down. Adding in severe PTSD and you’ve got a cocktail of paralyzed fear, brain fog, and being unable to control his own emotions, which cause him to lose self awareness and lose control of his thoughts. He has been remembering things and war related images keep flashing in his mind, in these moments he cannot function and finds it hard to breathe. This treatment is the only hope, and we can’t afford to choose treatment over bills.
