Moving Sacramento Art Glass

Sacramento Art Glass was founded in 2012 by Rene Steinke. Rene creates one of a kind glass artwork and offers beginner, intermediate and advanced glass blowing workshops. For those who have taken Rene’s glass blowing classes, you are familiar with how fun and exciting it is to learn and create in his space. For those who are unfamiliar with Sacramento Art Glass, creating and teaching is Rene’s passion.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Sacramento Art Glass’ building was sold. Unfortunately, Rene could not afford to purchase the current building.  Sacramento Art Glass has been given two months to relocate. The estimated cost of outfitting a new building will cost upwards of $25,000.00 for electrical, gas and proper ventilation. The electrical alone will need to be at least 200A and a large volume gas meter will need to be installed.  Additionally, Rene anticipates he will need to upgrade the restroom at the new location to accommodate guests and students. The estimated cost needed is just to move and does not include the cost of leasing or purchasing a new building.
