Kevin Bacon (pig)s New Life
Donation protected
Hi!
I am Kevin's Mom and if you've seen us in the media you know that we have had a W I L D first three weeks with our new Juliana pig, Kevin Bacon (his name from his first home).
Kevin seems to be afraid of most humans, probably because when he left his first home all he knew with us was a life of trying to be wrangled. We have a lot of ground to make up for but now that Kevin is safely secured and enjoying an endless supply of pumpkins, we are making his life count big time.
We have large future plans of using our land (and expanding) to host a working open to the public farm to include programming aimed at helping children and adults who live with mental health disorders or neurological divergence. We hope to offer small events as soon as early December. In the future we plan to offer employment to individuals in the same categories who may have trouble keeping a more traditional job.
We are asking for $2500 to just help get us started. We would put this toward fencing in a much larger area for Kevin and other animals, a few heaters (we are attempting to build a small greenhouse with second hand materials), and other small building costs. We hope this is the start of being able to give back to our community a LOT. We are currently saving up for a used truck & trailer and hope to welcome goats soon.
Thank you for reading our story and considering a donation,
Kevin's Family
