In memory of the wonderful Kevin Bowring...
Many people have expressed their shock at Kevin’s untimely death on 10th October 2024 from a massive heart attack. He was completely unaware that he had a serious heart condition which has added to the disbelief and distress that his family and friends are feeling.
Kevin was taken to the Intensive Care Unit, now known as the Department of Critical Care, at the Gloucestershire Royal Hospital where he fought valiantly for life for two weeks. The family have already written to the medical staff to express their heartfelt thanks for the care and attention he received: from the moment he was rushed in to the moment he passed away, everything possible was done within the world of medical science to give him the very best chance of life. The thoughtfulness shown to the family was unwavering and I was made to feel so welcome on the ward as I stayed by his side.
Should you feel you would like honour Kevin’s memory through a donation, we are supporting two charities, the British Heart Foundation and the Department of Critical Care Charity at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital. A donation to either of these would be greatly appreciated by the organisation itself and by Kevin’s family.
Thank you.
