Kevin Day College Fund

On November 30th, 2022, Tom Day died suddenly and unexpectedly after making significant gains in his recovery from heart surgery in October. Tom leaves behind his wife Christine, and 12-year-old son, Kevin. Tom and Christine have always led simple lives, eschewing things in favor of adventure. Whether traveling to Europe or exploring the US in their new camper van, the Days always loved being outdoors and with each other. Tom and Kevin have always had a special bond. Tom has passed on his love of travel (Germany and the alps especially), soccer, and music, to Kevin. If you knew Tom, you know his encyclopedic knowledge of music, songs, bands, and albums. Kevin has taken this torch and knows more about music than most adults.
The coming days, weeks, and years will be hard ones for both Christine and Kevin. With Kevin starting high school in a few short years, I believe that Tom would take comfort in knowing that Kevin would have some help with his educational costs and that Christine would not be on her own to get him through it.
We are all stunned and heartbroken by Tom’s unexpected passing. The outpouring of love and support from all those who knew and loved Tom has been amazing. So many people have been reaching out, asking how they can help. Please consider, in lieu of flowers, contributing to Kevin’s college fund. Tom would do anything for Kevin; I know this is the best way to honor him.
Tom, your laughter, insight, curiosity, and love will be sorely missed. Rest in peace. Christine & Kevin, you are not alone. You have a community of people surrounding you, and Tom’s love and memory enveloping all that you do.
Please note that to ease the administrative burden on Christine, Nicole Jolley will be managing the collection and transfer process on Christine's behalf.
