In loving memory of Kevin Fallon

Hi, my name is Joanie Fallon and on the 8th of January this year I lost my wonderful husband Kevin Fallon suddenly due to Heart failure at the age of 61. We grew up together and were blessed with 2 wonderful children the best Son & daughter in laws and 4 wonderful grandchildren. Kevin was a hard worker and a great family man, his heart was always with Mervue United football club where he played for many years and in later years he was a huge fan of Connacht Ruby where he met so many more friends.

Kevin was not sick or complaining of pain until the night of the 7th of January when he got a pain in his chest. We live about 15 minutes by car from the Galway University hospital and he was in no pain while I was driving him there. However, just as we reached near the entrance to Casualty Kevin dropped to the ground and unfortunately despite immediate attention from the Hospital staff he could Not be brought back to life. Our plans for the future and retirement were lost that night and our hearts are broken we miss Kevin so much.

In an effort to try and save other lives, Alan Conneely from Bohermore is going to Run the Copenhagen Marathon to raise funds to purchase a Difbulator to be placed on the Grounds of the Mervue pitches which encompasses a walking area and running track for the public to enjoy. Should we surpass the Target amount any extra money received will be donated to Croi in Galway city.

If you feel like making a donation however small we can possible save a life and save a family from losing a loved one and the pain that comes with the loss.
