Kevin Gauthier aka Chili

Hi, my name is Kristina. I am starting this GoFundMe account on behalf of my cousin, Kevin Gauthier, who most of you know as Chili.

Last night, he suffered a hemorrhagic stroke and is in the ICU at Logan Health. Currently, he does have hemiparesis to his right side and aphasia (difficulty with both understanding language at times and with speaking). We do not know what permanent disabilities he may have and that is only something that time will tell.

He would never ask for help, but he is going to need a lot of support as this is going to be a long recovery. He does not have medical insurance currently, so as a family we are asking for any contributions anyone is able to make towards his medical care including his hospital stay, rehabilitation, required blood pressure medications, possible home care, and general living expenses.

His mother, Danielle or Mama Chili, is at his bedside. We ask that his family, which includes his very close friends, are given the space to be with him and give updates as we are able. Our only priority right now is him. It is also not the best time for visitors. With his speech difficulties, it may cause agitation with not being able to say what he wants to, and it is vital that his blood pressures stay below a certain level for his best outcome. He also needs to be able to rest and if you've ever been hospitalized, you know that's not easy to come by.

Please keep Chili and our family in your prayers while we navigate this incredibly difficult situation. He is well-loved and we are grateful his friends were able to notice the signs and symptoms and get him to the hospital as quickly as they did!
