Kevin Jenks medical fundraiser

Donation protected
Sunday , May 3rd, probably started out pretty normal for our friend Kevin Jenks as he decided to go to his local motocross track for some exercise and motocross practice.  Sadly, he was involved in an accident  and was transported to UHS Wilson Medical center in Binghamton, NY where doctors determined he has suffered  a severely broken back and concussion .  Kevin has already undergone an emergency surgery to stabilize his back , preventing further spinal injury , but at this time Kevin can’t move his legs and is also still suffering the effects of his concussion. We are all crushed this has happened to our friend, but  hopeful the next few days will yield  some  signs of improvement  and good news.

Kevin started riding motorcycles at age 10 and within a few years was bitten by the racing bug and started racing motocross.  He was a natural at the sport and advanced to A class (Expert) relatively fast.  His home track was the famous Broome-Tioga sports center,  but he also raced at Unadilla, Walden MX and the Frozen Ocean MX tracks with success as well. Last year Kevin dusted off his old gear and started training again. He attended the 2019 NY State AMA Motocross championships and came home with the gold in 40+ class. Lately, Kevin is best known in the racing circles for his efforts supporting the younger MX racers with engine and motorcycle maintenance services in the Binghamton and Unadilla area.

We predict Kevin and his daughter will be faced with many challenges in the coming months, both physically as well as financially. This page is being set up with the hope that, we (friends and family) and the rest of the community can help alleviate some of the financial burden from the mounting medical bills and other challenges that may occur during  his recovery .

Thank you very much for your donations, whether large or small.
