Kevin Lentz Memorial Fund
Donation protected
Kevin was struck down in the prime of his life on Saturday, November 23rd by a hit
and run driver while on a bicycle ride with friends near Daley Ranch in Escondido.
The driver of the car was on the wrong side of the road, traveling at high speed on a
blind curve when he hit Kevin head-on, killing him instantly.
Kevin was a loving father and family man, having only seen his son Lawson’s 1st
birthday weeks before the accident. Kevin and his wife Lauren had been married
three years and loved that they were starting a family, owned their own home and
had so much life in front of them when this tragedy struck. Kevin was so full of life
and love for his family and friends and his loss will leave a hole that cannot be filled.
Kevin loved the outdoors and riding bicycles. He raced competitively for the TASCO-MTB mountain bike team in recent years, but had put his racing on the back burner to be more available for his son and wife. Kevin still enjoyed long rides with his wife and friends when he could find time.
Kevin was taking over the helm at his family’s business and had a bright future. His loss will be a significant financial hardship for Lauren and Lawson.
We are establishing this fund to support Lauren and Lawson with ongoing financial needs. Also an education fund has been created to support his son’s future. Tax-deductible donations can be made via PayPal to [email redacted]
The family sincerely appreciates the gifts of flowers, but suggests that in lieu of flowers the education fund above be considered.
