Kevin Michak Accident Recovery

Hi! I'm Katie Iannone. Kevin Michak is my only Uncle. He is selfless, funny, caring, and the hardest working person I know. If you're from Pittsburgh (Greenfield), or in the HVAC industry, you have probably crossed paths with him.

On Sunday, December 9, 2023, Kevin was in a terrible accident. After swerving to avoid hitting a deer, he rolled his truck. After being life flighted to UPMC Presbyterian, Kevin was diagnosed with a fractured spine (T-9/T-10), ribs and clavicles and a punctured lung. Kevin underwent urgent surgery to stabilize his spine. His wife, Annette; mother, Toni; and sisters have been there to support him while he is in the ICU.

As of now, Kevin is stable at UPMC Presby and sedated. He will be transferred to an in-patient rehab facility once he is alert to begin his road to recovery.

In order to ease some of his financial burden, my family and I have created this account. Kevin has an extremely long road ahead of him. Anything will help to allow him to focus on recovering as we are unsure when he will be able to return to work.

We will also provide periodic updates on Kevin.
