Hello all. If you know me or anyone in my family, you know my dad, Kevin. He's a tough and stubborn man that doesn't ask for anything, but will give you whatever he has. I'll probably even get grounded for doing this! We've been keeping a secret that we can't keep any longer. My dad has been diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL). His first awareness of this was in mid October, with a final diagnosis in November. He is stage 3, but the doctors are hopeful that we can eventually get him into remission. He will be traveling back and forth to Houston for treatments at MD Anderson over the next year. He will be taking a pill form of chemotherapy along with an immune booster. I'm reaching out to family, friends, and the community for any kind of help. Lodging, medication, gas, bills, etc., are all going to stack up pretty quickly, especially since he is having to take a leave of absence from work to start his treatments.
