Kevin P. Clarke for Zelda

As most you know the beautiful being that is Kevin P. Clarke left this plane of existence. This fundraiser was originally thought of by their niece as a way to help support Zelda's education. Please share far and wide and celebrate their life by helping to care for the future of Zelda, the absolute most important person to Kevin.

Kevin passed away suddenly and unexpectedly. It is heart breaking and catastrophic and beyond comprehension that Kevin won't be on this earth in physical form to be Zelda's parent and teacher. They planted in her a curiosity for the world; the sounds and colors, smells and textures, tastes, and idiosyncrasies. Every moment with Zelda was a teachable moment, and an opportunity to experience awe. And if you spent time with Kevin, you know--to the roots of your being, that they had a singular ability to open that door for people to experience the profound depth of being alive, the vulnerability of being human, and the sacredness of love and connection. Everything that Kevin touched was imbued with their spirit. From each meal they cooked, every line they drew, every piece of wood that was sanded, to all the words they wrote down and ones spoken out loud. The energy of Kevin was bright and powerful. And boy were we the lucky ones that got to receive that energy during their lifetime; nourishment at its deepest sense.

So now it's time to honor their memory and to build Kevin's legacy. And the thing they wanted most in the world, in this world and any other, was to take care of Zelda and give her opportunities to become exactly who she is meant to be. And that's why this fund is being created.

Moving forward there will be opportunities to gather together and celebrate their life. That is coming. For right now the family asks that this be shared far and wide and that when we talk about Kevin we focus on their life as it was lived and witnessed by their family, friends, and community.

The funds from this will be under the guidance of Lauren English who is Zelda's Mom and was Kevin's partner. Thank you for being here.
