Friday, February 17, 2023, Shea Grauer was senselessly taken from us. Shot and murdered- something that has become an alarmingly common occurrence in Memphis . Taken from friends, family, and the city he loved so very much.
The Grauer family has suffered two immeasurable losses in the short span of 200 days. The loss of Beau, and then Shea is almost impossible to comprehend.
Kevin Shea Grauer was a ray of light in an often dark world. Whatever Shea was going through in his personal life- Shea lost his precious daughter Chloe at the young age of 3, numerous dear friends that were lost, his baby brother Beau tragically taken from him - Shea still emanated love and humor.
Shea was so proud of his son Ian and his step-daughters Reese and Parker McLean. He loves talking about them and would often say that he couldn’t wait to see what they did with their lives as they became adults.
Shea had opinions on everything and often punctuated these thoughts with “pew-pew” finger guns to really get the point across. Nobody laughed harder at Shea’s dad jokes than him.
He was thoughtful and kind. He would do anything for anyone and we have literally seen him give the coat off his back to a person in need.
Shea and his mother Gail were instrumental in getting laws passed to legalize CBD in the state. This is a part of his legacy that will help innumerable children and adults.
As many of you know, Shea’s wife Liz Grauer is on permanent medical disability due to residual neurological damage from Guillain-Barre Syndrome.
In the immediate future, the family will need assistance covering rent and monthly expenses. Rental car, bills, groceries, storage units during the move to another home.
The family is overwhelmed and extremely appreciative for all of the love, support, and prayers coming their way. Please continue praying for the Grauer’s.
