On February 6th, 2021, the world lost Kevin J. Shepherd, Sr., after a long battle with COVID-19. Kevin was one of the most passionate, determined, loyal, inspiring, and energetic humans ever to live.
Kevin is survived by his mother Judy Lewellen, his wife Shirley, two daughters; Shirley and Judy and son; Kevin, Jr.
In his short but full life, Kevin made more of an impact in a day than some people do in a lifetime. His passion for life was a beacon of positivity and hope to all who met him. He will be dearly missed, and his influence and contributions will live on through all that had the privilege of knowing him.
After a long and distinguished career with the United States Air Force, Kevin retired to begin his second career in Industrial Security. Kevin was a disciple of servant leadership and made sure the teams needs were put before his own. He led by example, had excellent strategic vision, an incredibly strong work ethic ..no task was ever too large or small, ready at moment’s notice to step in and remain on station to see the task to completion…he was someone you could count on for help regardless the time or the situation. In short, he was the quintessential Patriot, Husband, Father and Friend.
Because of Kevin’s dedication to the security of this great nation, its’ citizens, his community, and his friends, we are asking that you please consider making a donation to help Shirley and the family, ensuring that Kevin’s legacy endures for many generations.
Shirley is comfortable with this being shared in hopes that others would be reminded to please plan for unexpected tragedy. All donations are greatly appreciated, and if we all pitch in, we can eliminate the financial burden for the family.
