Kevin Sparks Jr. Medical Expenses
Donation protected
On January 10th Exit Zero employee Kevin Sparks contacted me to tell me that he would be missing work because his son was rushed to the hospital. Kevin Jr., who is 5 years old, was taken to the emergency room when he woke up with no feeling or control of the left side of his face. After numerous CT scans and MRIs, they discovered that Kevin Jr. had a large tumor within his cerebral cortex. The tumor was swelling and caused his brain to shift 6mm, which is what left him with no feeling or control of his left side. Kevin Jr. was then rushed to Penn Medicine Children's Hospital where he underwent a craniotomy to remove as much of the tumor as safely as possible. Samples of the tumor have been sent to the lab for testing to determine whether or not is cancerous.
Kevin Jr. is currently in the P.I.C.U. awaiting results to see if he will need another surgery and/or chemotherapy. He will be in the hospital for an extended time to undergo any further surgery or treatments such as physical and neuromuscular therapy.
Things like this are never easy, especially when children are involved. The Exit Zero family is doing whatever we can to help Kevin and his family during this very trying time. From time off from work, travel expenses and medical bills they need all the love and support they can get. If you can find it in your heart to make a contribution it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your support.
