Kevin Stead laid to rest & Help for his children

As hard as it is to write this, I wanted to share this page because of the outpouring of love and support our family has received since we lost Kevin on 4/19/23. Kevin was loved by many and his work family was an extension of how fiercely he loved and stood by everyone he cared for.

Sierra and Jonathan lost their dad in a preventable tragedy that breaks my mama bear heart. His life did not need to end this way.

Kevins physical and mental health had deteriorated greatly over the last five years and while he reached out for help, it was not enough to keep him here with us.

He is survived by his children and his sister and brother in law. We are all working together during this time to make final arrangements and to help provide for Jonathan (14) and Sierra (20), both whom he loved more than life, in addition to his basset hounds, all things Star Wars & his beloved Dodgers.

Any contribution would be greatly appreciated to help provide a proper and symbolic way to celebrate his life and allow him to rest in peace with his parents. The funds will also help the kids as they prepare to navigate life without their father.

Thank you for loving him. I hope he sees how much he was cherished as he looks down on his children and friends and colleagues.

Kevin passed without the ability to cover any of his final resting expenses and has left his children as the next of kin responsible for arranging and paying for these costs. We are so blessed to have so many donors, but the expenses of what we need to pay just to keep the lights on at the house to give us time to clear it out is extraordinarily high. We have volunteers helping but we need supplies, dumpsters, money to pay electricity, water and other costs to vacate the home in less than a month, plus his cremation and burial.

We had no idea things were this bad and wish that he had reached out to all of us to help before it was too late. His children need your help to take care of removing everything from the home and to lay him to rest.
