Kevin Thompson’s journey to Recovery!!

Hello Friends, Family, Acquaintances, and anyone else taking the time to read this, my name is Kevin Thompson. I am married to my lovey wife Teresa for 29 years. We have two lovely children Brittney and Kevon. I graduated from Brownsboro High School 1988. I started my working debut as a custodian, then became head custodian at Brownsboro Elementary for 33 years. Due to health problems I was forced to retire after 35 years of service. I was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver 4 years ago. Doctors have given me the green light for a liver transplant. If all goes well, I’m praying to find a compatible donor soon.

Though medical insurance covers a portion of costs and other treatments, there are a large number of expensive co-pays that aren't. Dr appointment’s, surgeons, specialists, cat & pet scans and prescriptions plus other unexpected expenses related to undergoing treatment. These often overlooked and financially burdensome expenses include things like the cost of special diets, and transportation to and from treatments, just to name a few. The financial strain is further compounded by the unfortunate loss of wages due to early retirement. I love God and he’s in control!

I am appealing to the hearts and kindness of my fellow community, our friends and anybody that knows me. Let’s come together to help cover some of these expenses and to also show support during this difficult time.
