Kevin Trejos Recovery

My name is Sam Deutsch and I'm fundraising for my best friend Kevin Trejos. On Sunday, October 9th, 2022, Kevin was leaving his friend’s birthday party when multiple cars deliberately pursued the he was in vehicle and intentionally, repeatedly and violently banged into the car, including impersonating a police cruiser, to force them off the road. This caused serious damage to the car, which was then unable to sustain further driving and smashed into a tree while the aggressors left the scene of the accident. All of the five occupants in the car were hospitalized and have undergone multiple surgeries of various kinds (which are confidential to protect their privacy).

Kevin has suffered two compound fractures in his lumbar spine, lacerations on the hip, a respiratory infection, and a bruised lung. Thankfully, Kevin did not have to get any surgeries but, he will live with the vivid memories of the crash. Kevin risked his own injuries and got out of the car to call 911. Kevin saved everyone’s lives. Kevin also helped to pull people out of the car. He is a hero.

I met Kevin during my sophomore year of high school in 2019 on the Tenafly football team. We began talking after every practice and grew an incredible friendship and bond as a result. Kevin is like a brother to me, he is always there for anyone. I spent everyday with him creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Now more than ever, Kevin needs all of the support in any way he can get to recover from his recent tragedies.

The money raised by this platform will be used to help pay for Kevin's medical expenses, physical therapy, treatment, mental health resources and other necessities to allow him to recover. Kevin is such a sweet kid and hard working kid with a bright future ahead of him.
