This Story is going to be hard for me to start, I don't know where to began. And never dreamed that this would be the journey my sister and brother-in-Law would be on. But they are, like so many others this is a time when they need pray's or just wishing them well, understanding along with Love.
Kevin as some know him by (Whitey) has been a pipe fitter hard working individual, very private and proud full man . He would never ask for anything, would give someone his last penny. For this reason is why I'm doing this. So this is Whitey's Journey how it all become his.
On 1/17/17 Kevin's life would forever be changed. He went into surgery thinking they were just removing a Tumor, to be woken to say you have Cancer , by his wife Laura. (Lori). On 1/25/17 he was told he had a rare cancer ( small cell carcinoma). So all the tests started the MRI, CT Scan than a Pet Scan. Port put in . He was told he would do 6 rounds of chemo every 21 days. After that another surgery. After he would have chemo maintenance. All sounds good. Right? Let's skip forward Kevin had his 1st round of chemo Febuary 20,21 last day for round one was on 2/22/17. Kev has been ill since . The last couple days haven't been good ones, but this is how Kev is he went to work anyways to continue to take care of his family, as this is all he has ever known. So today he called Lori a little early today and told her that his arm of all things was still hurting, as it has for the past two days . So they now are at the hospital and from the chemo Kevin is having blood clots.
I've decided instead of watching him try and do this everyday working to provide for his family that he has always done. That I need to do something ,that something is a Go-Fund to take some of this burden off both Kevin and Lori. And to make sure that Kevin gets the rest he needs right now.
His medical bills along with taking off work, Lori needing to take off isn't going to stop anytime soon.
They need prayers , postive thoughts and lots of Love. No one can understand this Journey until it hits home. This has hit home .
I pray God has Great plans for this man that has overcome many of life's difficulties.
