Kevin's Adoption Journey
Donation protected
The amount I am looking to raise I have drastically lowered. I have decided that the foster to adopt is the best route for me to go down. I've been working with a wonderful agency here in LA called Aviva Family and Children's Services. We are spring through the process and I start my classes very soon! Anything raised from this campaign will go towards any other expenses I have to get setup. Most when have a baby know what to expect. When you foster you have no idea other than that I told them I'm open to fostering a newborn to the age of 1, and gender doesn't matter. So these funds will go towards all the various sorts of things you'd by someone for a baby shower. It's important that people know, donating $10 can help. Babies need wipes, diapers, and so much more. When you donate, know that these are the sort of things that you'll be donating towards! It's like a virtual baby shower!
Asking for money can oftentimes feel like a handout, and I know that I am not the only person that can feel this way. I think what happens is that we don't like associating something like money with adoption because we're talking about babies and warm feelings of love. However, it's the reality. Adoption is costly.
