Kevin Greeno was diagnosed with colorectal cancer, stage III in March of this year. Things hadn't been working exactly right for quite some time, but he didn't want to take time from work to go to his doctor to get checked out. His family depended on him, and Kevin delivered every day despite not feeling well. Kevin has a beautiful wife, Bonnie (Kleynen) Greeno and great kids, Tim Greeno and Brittney (& Joe) Pierce. He is also devoted to his grandkids, Vanessa and Mackenzie. Kev's parents are Jan (& Jim) Calder and Ken (& BC) Greeno.
Once the masses were detected, Kevin started on chemotherapy and radiation. He still went to work every day while in treatment for three months. In July, he underwent surgery to remove the masses and a colostomy was done. He has now begun a very rigorous chemotherapy protocol for the next 6 months. It will be the best Christmas for all of us if Kevin can have his re-connection surgery and start to get back to feeling well again, cancer-free!
Kevin started his own company, Greeno Mobile Truck Repair, in 2001. His company does on-site equipment repair of trucks, heavy and landscape equipment, and agricultural equipment. He is a brilliant mechanic and has many loyal customers that rely on him to get their trucks and equipment on the road every day. Kevin was always a one-man show, but Tim stepped up to join the company recently and we are so grateful. Although Kevin tries to get to work each day, it isn't always possible. Surgical and medical bills are mounting up, and more surgeries and chemo are in the plans.
