Support for Kevin Kane's Family
Donation protected
In life, Kevin Kane was committed to causes much larger than himself. Today, his family is the cause--and they need your help.
After battling mightily against cancer, Kevin passed away on October 27th.
His legacy will live on Louisiana: The work he's done to advance criminal justice reform will benefit countless families for decades to come. These families may not know Kevin's name, but their chance at a better life is due in no small part to the ideas and legislation he's helped advance.
Kevin's legacy will also live on with his family. Kevin and his wife Lesley celebrated 17 years of marriage in April of this year.
Kevin leaves behind two daughters, ages 11 and 9, who are in 6th grade and 3rd grade. These past few weeks, they've said "goodnight" to dad each evening not knowing whether it was their last.
Even in his last days, Kevin's mind was active and his family's wellbeing was his foremost concern. In particular, he wanted to be sure that his wife and daughters would be taken care of after he passed from this life into the next.
With the permission of Kevin's wife, we've created this campaign to give Kevin's friends the opportunity to support his family, who need it now more than ever. All of the funds raised will go directly to Lesley and the two daughters she's caring for--to support expenses today, and to support future investments for his daughters, like a college education.
If Kevin has touched your life, this is your opportunity to give back in a tangible way. Please share with anyone you think might want an opportunity to support Kevin and his family. Thank you for your generosity.
