Kevins' Fight

Kevin is my little brother. He is 41 years old and an amazing guy. He is a loving husband and a father of 2 great kids. His daughter is 14 and his son is 9. Kevin spends his free time volunteering as a coach for his kids sports teams and at his church helping ensure the sound system works for the services. Kevin is always willing to tackle new projects, and happy to lend a hand to those who need his help.
In May, Kevin wasn't feeling well and went to his doctor. Kevin was diagnosed with a case of gallstones. He soldiered on and kept working, coaching, and renovating his home. Unfortunately, things kept getting worse and suddenly, in the beginning of Oct Kevin found himself in the hospital.
Kevin's condition continued to worsen and soon he ended up in ICU. Kevin's breathing became laboured and he had an excessive amount of fluid building up in his abdomen. What was originally thought to be just a case of gallstones had developed into an acute case of hemorrhagic pancreatitis.
Kevin's condition has continued to deteriorate. Two days ago my little brother went into respiratory distress. He had to be intubated and had over 5 litres of fluid drained from his abdomen. Last night his heart stopped working 5 times. He is in critical condition and it will be a miracle if he survives.
The doctors have been blunt with all of us and said Kevin may not survive this. Even if he does, he will likely be in ICU for 3 months and in hospital for 6. Though he is unable to speak, Kevin is able to communicate with this wife and sisters by writing on an iPad. Throughout this incredible ordeal, his faith in Jesus has remained strong.
We humbly ask that you consider helping to support Kevin, his wife Jodi, and there two young children as they deal with the harsh realities of this unbelievable series of events. Any support will go directly to assisting the family deal with Kevin's loss of income, along with his wife Jodi, who had taken time away from work to be with her husband and family.
