Key Bridge Collapse Victim Maynor Suazo
Donation protected
My name is Sean and I have the honor of employing David Suazo (18), son of Maynor Suazo. I, as everyone, woke up Tuesday morning to the absolute shock and horror of watching the Francis Scott Key Bridge collapse in front of our very eyes. Then, at about 10:30 am, I got the unspeakable word that David’s father was missing. I reached out to David to confirm and have maintained contact with him since. Unfortunately, Maynor did not survive, and leaves behind a loving family who could use our support.
The following information comes from David himself, and is used with his permission. Maynor was born in Honduras and called San Pedro Sula his home. He has been the head of his family and “the engine of the family, never stopping” as long as David can remember. David can never remember his father not working, and in fact, can never remember him having only a single job. He was a hard working man, providing for both his family here, and sending money back home to family in Honduras, and even helping other family members come to find their own American Dream. David told me his father was his role model and the man he wanted to be. David is not alone in his grief, as Maynor is remembered by his wife Berenice, and daughters: Kimberly (15), Jennifer (14), and Alexa (6). Maynor’s legacy will live on, and David has already shown to be his father’s son, telling me he is ready to work to help support his family, but I’d like David to support his family emotionally, and see if we can help support his family financially.
Maynor’s wish was to be buried in his home country of Honduras, and this is what this fundraiser is for. Unfortunately, as of 3/29, Maynor has not been recovered, but funeral arrangements will be made to celebrate him both here and at his home. If you feel in your heart you’d like to help see these wishes become a reality, I’d ask you to donate anything you can. Thank you.
