Dear Community, and beyond, our staff needs your help. First and foremost, we sincerely hope that everyone is healthy and safe. We are in challenging, changing times, and this is especially true for the hospitality industry, which has been impacted very hard financially.
Our independently owned and operated restaurants, Moondog Cafe, Banana Cafe & The Cafe had to do the unthinkable; we closed our restaurant doors to our guests and staff ( with some delivery/take out still available at Moon & Banana only (for now)). For the last combined total of 47 years!!! ( we cant even believe it) we have become a part of this vibrant island community.
We fully understand and respect the difficult decision that our city has made regarding the health of our city, and we take our responsibility to halt the spread of COVID-19 very seriously. With over 70 employees unfortunately, these tough, necessary choices have left a majority of our staff without any source of income.
Our family, our servers, line cooks, dishwashers, bartenders, and bussers, food runners, bakers need your help. Without the ability to serve you, to keep your culinary soundtrack playing, our team is left without their financial lifeline during these hardest of times.
