Health and healing are rarely predictable especially for those with chronic conditions. I'm no stranger to navigating the unknowns after being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis 7.5 years ago but find myself once again in the midst of mysterious symptoms that have completely altered my way of life.

Since August 1st of 2023 I've experienced violent bouts of vertigo and debilitating migraines. Over the past 9 months I've silently investigated the mounting concerns with little to no answers. By now I can barely stand, walk, hold my head up, or sometimes sleep from the unending throbbing and pressure in my head.

3 hospital stays, a lumbar puncture, EEG testing, countless blood work and prescriptions yet doctors are still at a loss to find something to alleviate my symptoms. I've had to stop working and driving all together to keep myself out of harm's way.

For over a decade it's been my job to tell the stories of my community and clients and yet, in this moment, I'm finding it difficult to tell my own. I need the help of my community now more than ever. I don't know when I'll physically get back on my feet creating the work that I feel called to do.
