In Loving Memory of Isidro Garcia

My father and I once had a conversation about his goals and dreams as a child. To my surprise he always wanted to be a forensic doctor working on crime scenes. However, being an immigrant and limited with no english background, he instead did what he knew best which was work with his hands and what magical hands they were. He could make something out of nothing and I always admired his skills. He also told me his dream was to have a family and live happily, which he did. He raised both my sisters and I, supported my mother and married for 42 years. He cherished my nieces, nephews and would do anything for any of us. I remember toward the conclusion of that conversation I was expressing my ambition and certain goals I had for not only myself, but he and my mother and the rest of my family. He always pushed me to be better yet he said one thing that really stuck with me. “Slow down and enjoy what is and what you have now.” I’ll never forget that, its a constant reminder to reset and be level headed in all that I do. It’s a constant reminder that simplicity is peace and what you should seek. I could go on and tell you about all the good things my dad was, but most of you know that already. I’m proud of what my father accomplished and he put up one hell of a fight, I’ll tell you that. Unfortunately, my father had open heart surgery that went bad. His body couldn’t recover on its own and he was placed on full life support, while doctors did all they could to save him and get him back on his feet. After a little over a month of fighting and being in the ICU, my fathers body could endure no longer. As we gathered, He listened to his favorite music and after about 30 seconds into his favorite song his heart stopped. I know he went peacefully. I want to thank everyone who supported my family, my father and myself thru this difficult time. With that said, I ask anyone who can and are willing, to donate and help us pay for his funeral and expenses. I want to thank you in advance and know that my family and myself appreciate and are extremely grateful for the help and support during this time.

Te amo Pa - I love you dad, we’ll be alright.
