Dylan Shiver

Hi, I am Dylan's Aunt. March 30th Dylan was on his way home from work and was hit on his motorcycle by a car. He was air lifted to Shands Trama Center in Gainesville, Florida were he was treated for multiple fractures and soft tissue damage. He has been through 4 surgeries to repair his left leg that had a broken femur, laceration to his left knee, including repairing the ligaments and tendons etc. Dylan had a large amount of soft tissue damage on the left leg in which he currently has a wound vac to help with the healing and skin graph to cover and help with the  healing of the wound. He sustained 3 fractures to the head, fractures to the neck and  ligaments in his neck compromised, fracture to his left wrist, fracture to his right wrist, surgery to repair the pelvic, right shoulder damage, in which he may not gain function to that arm and  3 fractures to the right scapula. He also had surgery to repair his right knee cap that had been fractured in multiple places. Dylan is still currently in the hospital and is going to need mental and financial support. Dylan has a long road ahead to overcome his injuries, with surgeries, rehab and mental support. Dylan was only working part time and had wellness insurance. The driver that hit Dylan, had only the minimal coverage of insurance....please open up your hearts and help Dylan get through this difficult time without the worry and concern of the financial burden and get the Rehab that he desperately needs once discharged from the hospital.
