Wheelchair van for Sue
Donation protected
My name is Sue Trimble. I am 68 years old and live in rural Madera California. I was diagnosed in 1988 with MS (multiple sclerosis). Over the last 29 years my condition has deteriorated to the place where I can no longer get myself from my wheelchair into a vehicle. I have went from being able to attend church, grocery shop, visit family and participate in outings to being housebound. The biggest concern I have now is not being able to get to my medical appointments. My husband has Parkinsons and no longer has the strength to lift me into the car. I also have a heart condition. Recently I had an ms relapse and had to be taken to the emergency. We live very rural so my husband had to take me, and with the help of our daughter, was able to get me into the car. We were fortunate she was there at the time. This made us realize the importance of having a vehicle that would meet our needs. So I am seeking help for us to purchase a wheelchair accessible van.
