Hey everyone,

We’ve figured out the cheapest way to bring Ivan home: through Air Canada Cargo for $750, and then I’ll pick him up in Toronto and fly him home via Avianca for $200. My flight costs $915.

We have 4 days to raise about $2000. I know it sounds ridiculous to many, but as a family struggling with mental health, Ivan is more than just a pet to us! We’re trying to find work and ways to make money in El Salvador, but we need help.

**Help Us Bring Ivan Home! ❤️**

Hey everyone,

We recently moved to El Salvador for our mental health, but sadly, we couldn't bring our beloved dog Ivan. He has been our comfort and security blanket for the past two years, and we miss his goofy face and cuddles every day.

When we were leaving, Ivan was just 10 pounds over the allowed weight, and Air Canada made us leave him behind. Fortunately, a wonderful friend of my daughter's and her amazing mother took him in without hesitation. But now, it's time to bring our buddy home.

Starting fresh in a new country with very little has been challenging, and Ivan's absence has made it even harder. We need him here with us. Unfortunately, we can't afford the cost to bring him to El Salvador on our own, and we can't ask our family to fund it either. So, we're turning to you, our community, for help.

We’ve been in touch with air cargo services and companies like Paws Pet Travel. Because we can’t travel with Ivan, we need to use agents. When we first spoke with Air Canada Cargo, the estimate was $700, and we assume Avianca will be similar. We are now waiting to hear about the agents' fees for giving Ivan meds, food, water, walking him, and putting him in the next cargo, plus customs. So, I’m estimating around $2000 but truly hoping it will be less. Once I hear back from a couple of places, I’ll update it!

We truly appreciate every little bit. Ivan has been a lifesaver for our mental health. These last few years have been difficult, but selling him was never an option, even though it was suggested many times. He means that much to us as a family—we all need him. This is hard for me to do, but I’m desperately reaching out.

We are on a timeline crunch as our dear friend can't keep him much longer. We know times are tough, which is why we had to move in the first place, but having Ivan with us will make a huge difference. I also understand that there are people in worse circumstances, and part of me feels awful asking, but believe me when I say, that WE DESPERATELY NEED HIM.
