To honor the life and legacy of Khadra Abdi Shire, her daughters would like to share a message rooted in the words of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), who said: “Charity does not decrease wealth, no one forgives another except that Allah increases his honor, and no one humbles himself for the sake of Allah except that Allah raises his status” (Sahih Muslim 2588). This Hadith reminds us that giving enriches both our spirits and our lives.

Khadra Abdi Shire was a devoted mother to her three daughters, Mona, Ayan, and Idil Hersi, and a cherished member of her community. She was known for her warmth, kindness, and generosity, qualities she instilled deeply in her daughters. Her family, friends, and neighbors remember her for her selfless spirit and dedication to helping others.

In her memory, her daughters wish to continue her tradition of giving by building a well in a community that is in need. This act of "Sadaqah Jariyah" (ongoing charity) will not only honor Khadra's legacy but also provide lasting benefits to others, ensuring her spirit of kindness lives on.
