Chris Dwyer's Memorial and Scholarship Fund

Christopher Dwyer was a beam of light in the lives of all who knew him. For as long as anyone could remember, Chris was full of imagination and creativity. He was respectful, honest, compassionate and fun-loving. Chris was never afraid to tell it how it truly was, and he never had even the slightest inclination to hurt anyone. As a brother, he was always protective, but never overbearing. As a son, he was a vessel of love that gave his parents all he could. Chris was truly one of a kind, and the multitudes contained within him are not easily put down in words.

Christopher Dwyer passed away unexpectedly on the morning of December 20th at age 24, while at home with his parents and sister. Chris' passing is a heartbreaking and unexpected tragedy that has left his loved ones reeling. No one considers a course of action for losing someone so young with so much life left to live. The Dwyer Family asks that instead of buying flowers, you consider donating to this memorial fund to help cover any outstanding costs related to Chris' services and final resting place. When all costs are accounted for, the remaining money will be invested into a scholarship fund for students of S.S. Seward.

This scholarship will be an ongoing one that aims to help creative students seeking higher education that may have struggled with academics throughout high school. GPAs will not be considered when choosing recipients of this scholarship, as Chris never believed in amounting someone's value to something as limiting as a number. The greatest gift you can give the Dwyer family at this time is that of remembrance, and this scholarship will keep his legacy alive.

This fundraiser is organized by his younger sister, Ally Dwyer, on behalf of his family, friends and fiance.
