This fundraiser campaign is in relation to heartbreaking story of Khalid, a beloved husband, father, and friend, who tragically lost his life while selflessly assisting a stranded driver on the road in Calgary, Alberta on November 27-2024.

Khalid who was with his 10-year-old son—whom he had just picked up from a soccer game—was helping a fellow Calgarian who was stuck on the road when the accident occurred.

Khalid was the sole provider for his wife and five young children, ranging in age from 2 to 14 years old. Khalid worked tirelessly to ensure his family had everything they needed. His love for his family was unmatched, and he was always there for others, offering a helping hand no matter the time of day or night. Helping others was not just something Khalid did—it was his passion, and it ultimately cost him his life.

Now, his family is facing the unimaginable, and they need our support. As a friend and fellow Calgarian, this initiative is to organize this fundraiser with the consent of Khalid’s family to help provide for his wife and children during this incredibly difficult time. Your generous contributions will help ease the financial burden on Khalid’s family as they navigate their grief and rebuild their lives without their loving father and husband.
