Thank you all so much for the outpouring of love and condolences as we try to wrap our minds around the loss of Khalil. We are so proud of the man, father, husband, and protector that he grew up to be.
Many of you asked us to reach out to you if we needed help. While we had a small insurance policy that will cover normal expenses, there are many expenses that we facing because this tragedy comes at a time when our family is making a huge transition from Columbus and Arizona to Texas.
We are asking for your help with several expenses. We need to bring Khalil from Phoenix to Dallas, settle his commitments to his apartment lease and car loan, and move his wife and daughter to Dallas from Phoenix.
We will lay him to rest in Dallas, but we would also like to hold a service in Columbus for all of Khalil's family and friends. The biggest expense in this effort would be travel costs for Khalil's 18 close family members who live in Dallas, including his wife and daughter.
Finally we would like to bless Denietra and Khali Anne with a love gift.
