Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh

Shortly after Gurdwara Khalsa Darbar opened in Southampton, Khalsa Darbar Gatka Akhara formed and started weekly Gatka lessons.

In the first 9 months since forming, Khalsa Darbar Gatka Akhara has:

-
45 students…and growing!
- Increased lessons from Once a week to Twice a week
- Demonstrated their first Gatka Display at the Southampton Mela
- Featured in the Vaisakhi issue of the Nishaani Magazine
- Featured on ITV news

The impact of the students and teachers on our wider community has been immense. Through their passionate seva, the teachers aim to nurture the students and equip them with the multitude of skills that comes with learning and practising GATKA.

We have the opportunity to purchase Shaster from India in the next few weeks and also are looking to fund upcoming events that the Gatka crew will be having displays at during the summer.

We humbly request donations for the above purchases.

Through the growth of classes and groups such as these, our youth can continue to flourish and grow with the strength of Sikhi at their core.
