Gerald Zepeda's Funeral Fund

Gerald was one of a kind. He was a writer, actor, director, teacher, and so much more, but his favorite job was being a dad. Sophia was Gerald's life, and everyone knew it.


As his next of kin, Sophia was by his side from the moment he became sick. And now that he's passed on, she's continuing to take care of him and fulfill his last wishes, which includes her graduating. She found him an amazing place to be put to rest, where he can watch over her while she finishes up at UC Berkeley.


The only issue is, funerals are expensive, and Sophia is paying for everything with the money she was intending to use for her last semester at college. If she was capable for paying for everything herself, she would do so proudly and without hesitation. But it's just not possible.

Any help she can get is appreciated beyond words.

We know this is such a hard time for everyone. Gerald had a huge family, that extended far beyond blood, and we are reaching out to that family to help lay him to rest. I wish I was as eloquent with words as Gerald or Sophia, but let's face it, not very many people are.

Thank you in advance for any help you can give. Please continue to share your stories of Gerald's life. It  truly shows how much a single man could be loved and has been lifting Sophia's spirits.

All money received will go to paying off Gerald's funeral costs, storage unit, and keeping Sophia on her feet.
