On behalf of Andrew’s family and friends, and, as many of you know, Andrew sadly and very unexpectedly, passed away on Thursday 7 November.
It’s taken a few days for the tragic news to sink in. His family and close friends (of which he had many) are left with some comfort knowing that he passed doing something that he loved and with people who cared about him.
Andy was a son, a brother, a husband, a dedicated father, a comrade and, if you were privileged enough to be in his circle, an exceptionally funny and sometimes grumpy friend. Many hearts have broken these last few days, but his memory and his antics will live on. We will make sure of it.
Ainsey was a family man first, above everything. He made sure the boys were active and took part in numerous activities including rugby, running, climbing, boxing and camping. The list goes on. He gave up his free time to be with them. He wanted them to have options and to equip them with life skills and discipline for their future (he also wanted to give Andrea a chance to have a wine). He really was an amazing partner and Dad.
Devastatingly, Andrea is now a single parent to 3 young boys. The reality of that is truly heartbreaking and not something you can or should ever have to plan for. This page has been set up in memory of Andy and to ask for help supporting his family over the coming months in any way you can.
Any financial contribution, no matter how big or small, will help Andy’s family with the immediate funeral costs. Any monies raised above that will contribute towards the boys activities so that they can continue to have the routine they enjoy and that Andy wanted for them. Hopefully, in the coming weeks, this will bring a sense of normality and stability back to their lives and help heal the enormous hole Andy has left behind.
With love and thanks, the Ainsey family xxx
