Help my sister and her family to get-out of Gaza and survive
Donation protected
Dear friends, family and compassionate individuals,
My name is Rawan Alsous, and I am reaching out to you on behalf of my sister and her family in Gaza. Currently, we are fundraising to help them cross the border from Gaza to Egypt through the Rafah crossing.
My family and I are unable to afford the costs alone, as my sister's family consists of six members, including two elderly parents and four children under the age of 18. Unfortunately, most of their passports have expired, and in order to cross the border, it will cost approximately US$5,000 per person.
This family deserves our help, as their entire livelihood has been destroyed. They face the imminent risk of homelessness, along with thousands of others, once the dust settles. Any contribution you can spare would be greatly appreciated to facilitate their safe passage out of Gaza.
Their situation is dire, and even their Bank/PP account, which they were previously using to receive donations for essential food supplies, has been frozen. I urge you to share this message with as many people as possible and consider donating, even if it's just $1. Your support could make a significant difference and help save lives.
Thank you for your understanding and support in this critical time of need.
Rawan Alsous
Update:
Dear kind donors and supporters,
First, I would like to thank you all for your solidarity and generous support, which has enabled me, my wife and my 4 children to be able to get out of Gaza and escape this deadly aggression. It was not easy for such a large family to make it out after waiting months counting days, minutes, and seconds to survive. This would have not been possible without you standing by my family and your support.
Yes, we have survived as bodies but with no souls. Yes, we escaped an inevitable death, and yes, we breathe – and we thank God for that. We literally survived after having lost our home, and workplace and ended up having nothing. With all the uncertainties around, struggling to establish a so-called life, with no home, or education or job or any fundamentals of life.
With my wife, despite all loss and challenges, and as parents for 4 children, we hope that we can pursue this struggle to build up a basic, simple life with the overarching goal that we will return to our beloved city of Gaza. To do so, I would appreciate your continuous support to my family in order to meet the basic needs of housing, food, education and health for my family and my children.
Your generous support will remain in our memories, as the only means to overcome difficulties. It will keep us remembering that Humanity will never fail as long as there are people like you.
Thank you in advance for your support and solidarity.
