Hello my name is Rafael Zuniga & after years of abusing food & alcohol from 2005 through 2011 it caused my weight to spiral out of control doubling from 400lbs to 831lbs. At this point I was hospitalized with a series of   illnesses which included; morbid obesity, cellulitis, leukocytosis, lymphedema all caused from the weight gain. While in the hospital I made a promise to myself to change my life around. With years of hard work, determination & dieting today I've lost 531lbs without any surgeries.
At this time I am asking for donations so that I can get the surgery done that will remove the sagging skin from my body that was left there after the tremendous loss of weight., which my insurance won't cover. I have reached out to a doctor in downtown Chicago who is willing to do a series of surgeries at a discounted price to remove the access skin.
I'm asking for $20k to help towards my surgery and I have some money myself saved to help with the cost as well. If there is any monies left over & if I reach my goal of $20k I will donate it to a charity that is in need. This surgery is so important to me to have, so I can get some normalcy back in my life. I am grateful & appreciate any and all donations from the bottom of my heart.
