Help me make a fresh start in Sydney!

Hullo my name is Chel I’m a freelance artist and bird parent. I’ve lived on the central coast for the last few years, in that time I’ve been able to try rebuild my art career and use it to fund a pigeon rescue for a few years saving around 20 birds!

Whilst fun I have had a truly unfortunate time from dealing with living in an unsafe area which included a man armed with a hammer running at me, an attempted break in, getting long covid, abusive work environments and earlier this year having my car written off by a careless taxi driver as I was on the way to the vets with my pigeon Plumpy who was undergoing treatment and testing for likely ovarian cancer.

Time and time again I’ve had to dust myself off and try again.

I’ve finally found myself in a situation where I can move in with a good friend and closer to Sydney where my support network, friends and partner are. The move will do wonders for my mental health and offer a lot more employment opportunities than the coast has so I’m trying everything in my power to make this move happen!

Which is where I’d like your help, unfortunately my current job has had to drastically cut my hours right as my big move to Sydney is happening. At this rate I can’t afford to pay double rent for the 21 days notice I’m required to give, all my funds are going to the new property which leaves me out of pocket for the following moving essentials;

I’m currently looking for weekend work and will be smashing out commissions once I’m moved but for now even the smallest amount would mean the world to me!!

I know this move will be a huge positive change for me and I’ll be able to get back on my feet a lot sooner!

I feel this is my absolute last option to make this happen.
