Mount Arrowsmith Brewing is raising funds to help our taproom manager, Kian, through his time of need. Kian, recently married and expectant father, has suddenly had his world turned upside down with a cancer diagnosis that will keep him from work at the exact time in life when he needs it most. Kian and his wife are expecting their first child this June.

One week ago, and after extended medical appointments, time off work due to pain, and biopsies, Kian was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma on his chest near his heart and shoulder. While his outlook is good, with doctors tackling the cancer head on, it will mean he will be receiving 8 weeks of chemotherapy to tackle the cancer and hopefully removing it entirely.

Kian, who has already been mostly off work for the last 6 weeks, will undoubtedly remain off work for the foreseeable future while he and his wife navigate this unexpected turn in their lives. This all comes at a time of increased expenses for a new family.

Kian has been the stead face of the Arrowsmith Taproom for years now. His friendliness, professionalism, and outgoing personality have all made the Arrowsmith taproom the welcoming and relaxed environment that it is today. Always willing to lend a hand, and a great contributor to the community. He will be missed in his absence and we give him all the support we can through this challenging time.
