Kiana's Power Wheelchair

Hi my name is Kiana Dingle. I'm a 27yo mom, wife, sister and daughter. As of July 13, 2022 my life has been flipped upside down.

I was always a bright and vibrant person. I worked as a caregiver while running 2 businesses; childcare and custom items. One day I fell down a flight of stairs sending me to the hospital. They found osteoarthritis. They suggested weight loss surgery or a knee surgery but pushing the WLS. So that's what I went with.

July 13 I had the surgery. It started rocky, I had to stay an extra day but they cleared me to go home. Everything was fine for the next month. Then I started declining. I could no longer eat or drink which means I can't take my meds. This caused me to be in and out of the hospital.

My health declined drastically. I lost my vision for a month. I started having mini strokes. I wasn't eating. I became extremely malnourished. Over time, we found out I had intercranial hypertension, vitamin deficiencies, pre diabetic, neuropathy and patella alta. I lost my ability to walk, function in 6/10 fingers and I can't move my lower body on my own. I get pulmonary embolisms frequently from being bedridden.

As you can imagine this has been extremely stressed on my life to adapt to. I want to be able to have some independence and a little bit of a life again. I want to go to my son football game, school function, take him to the doctor. I want to date my wife again. I want to visit family for the holidays. So I need a power wheelchair. Insurance won't cover it cause I don't meet all of the requirements. Please help me get a chair
