Kick Cancer’s A$$ with Jessica Meyer
Donation protected
During the first week of November 2018, Jessica felt a huge lump in her right breast. She thought maybe she pulled a muscle at the gym, but it didn’t go away so she made an appointment with her doctor.
With no family history of breast cancer and her young age of 29, the medical staff was 90%+ sure it was just fiberous tissue. But after an ultrasound, mammogram and a biopsy they discovered it was cancerous, and here we are.
Jessica’s cancer is Stage2aN0M0 but she also tested positive for the HER2 protein. It’s a high grade aggressive tumor, but thankfully CAN be treated and she has a positive prognosis.
Her oncologist suggested we start with chemotherapy. If all goes as planned she will have six cycles, each 3 weeks apart, followed by surgery, radiation, and will then continue immunotherapy to treat the HER2 protein.
She is also receiving cold cap therapy. This is a special machine that freezes her head during the chemo treatments and will help prevent hair loss. As you can imagine, this is all quite overwhelming. Sadly the cold cap therapy is not covered by insurance and costs thousands of dollars, in addition to her deductibles. This is extra stress that no cancer patient should need to worry about.
The medical bills are already rolling in and we are asking you to please make a donation to help Jessica kick cancer’s a$$.
Thank you to everyone for your time, prayers, well wishes and donations!
