Kickin' Cancer to the Curb

Donation protected
Hello, I'm Angela - a 59 year young mom, wife, grandma and elementary teacher of 10 year olds.  I have so much to be thankful for and hold each day as a gift to live fully.  My medical issues surfaced the first week of school this year in August.  I had just returned to the job I love and received the troubling news that I had three different forms of cancer.  Testing, appointments, and more testing revealed that I had invasive lobular carcinoma, thryroid cancer and the most troubling lymph node metastatic cancer.  After a mid-October mastectomy surgery and lymph node dissection it was discovered the cancer had spread into at least 12 lymph nodes.  An aggressive chemo regime soon started.   Now I am looking at several more months of chemo and then daily radiation.  I will not be able to return to work until August of 2017.    My doctor insisted that it would be very troubling for me to return to work amidst a prevalent flood of germs sure to be waiting for me in my classroom.  Additionally, the gym was also a germ zoo.  I feel the strongest when I am able to do cycling class at my local gym.  The endorphins that spill through my body make me feel like superwoman.  I have to admit that 34 years standing on a cement slab each day (covered by a thin layer of carpet) has left me with bad arthritis in my feet.  While walking is painful, cycling is exhilirating!  I'm writing this because I have a vision for regaining my health and well-being.  I know I can do this with the help of a Peloton Cycle.  The online support coupled with such an amazing cycle would give me increased stamina to Kick this Cancer to the Curb!  The costs are bigger than my budget.  It is not in my nature to be a taker.  I am much more of a giver.  However, when you go through something of this magnitude - it humbles you and makes you more willing to put yourself out there.  The costs would go for the actual Peloton Cycle ($1995).   Thank you seems inadequate.  With a heart of deep gratitude - my family and I thank you.  I want to be riding bikes soon with my grandbabies!  This cancer is going down!!!
