Malcolm's Kickin' Cancer Concert
Well, I'm raising money because you're asking me to.
In March of 2018, I was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, which is form of blood cancer. And immediately, some nearest and dearest organized a benefit concert for me because they understood that I'd been out of meaningful work for 18 months due to the cancer. Except we didn't know it was cancer at the time - we just thought I'd broken bones in my spine. But that was a symptom of the multiple myeloma, and I received my diagnosis thanks to Obamacare.
As soon as I posted an event on Facebook about the Kickin Cancer Concert, a whole bunch of people asked if they could send money. I wasn't expecting this at all. The cancer hasn't made me cry once. But the love from friends sure has. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
