Kicking Cancer 1000
Donation protected
I started the KickingCancer1000.com website because juggling helped me get through my own breast cancer experience. During my surgeries I wasn't allowed to run or use my arms for very much, so for exercise I would go on long walks and bring my soccer ball to juggle. I told myself if I got to 100 without dropping, everything would be okay. I always made it to 100 every time I tried. After I was cancer free, I decided to keep juggling, as a wish for well being for other people going through rough times as well. But, now I've juggled so much I can actually make it to 1,000. So, kind of like the 1,000 cranes story about the girl with leukemia, I make videos of juggling 1,000 times in various locations around the city to wish for the best for others and hopefully inspire other people to stay strong. The only thing is, I've incurred a lot of extra costs to do it. Camera equipment, logo items like T-shirts, masks, and bags. Travel costs, computer upgrades and needs. I am starting this GoFundMe account to help ease the strain of those costs, and possibly make a little extra to grow even more. I'm hoping the site will eventually start drawing attention, and help to raise funds for other related charities that I have listed on the web page, that do a lot of good for people in need.
Your donation will definitely benefit me, but also other cancer patients or people going through hard times that are looking for a little extra hope and inspiration, as well as the charities I'm directing attention to on my website. If I get enough extra funding, I plan to upgrade my computer and camera equipment that is terribly outdated and basically incompatible which makes uploading and downloading video data an extremely long and tedious process. I would like to make that purchase as soon as possible to help make my days more productive. Any type of support would mean the world to me, when I was first diagnosed, it was seeing the people who were thriving after their cancer experience who gave me the most strength to push on. I really believe these videos will help others looking for that same type of motivation in their times of crisis. I will be truly thankful for any donations given to help me out with this. Thank you so much just for your time and attention now.
