Kid at OECR attacked and his bike was stolen

Friday 7/22 around 5 I was at OECR and a ~13 year old kid was giving a statement to the Metroparks police. I talked with a parks employee from the canal center who was keeping an eye on him waiting for his parents and was told he is a neighborhood kid who rides there all the time. Another kid threw his broke road bike at him, knocked him off his bike, and stole it. I’d like to get him a new bike, but not with a lot of fanfare. I assume an adult small entry level hardtail will do the trick. I’ll get details from the metroparks staff when the canal center reopens Sat AM.
