Kids Create 2.0 Self-Expression Project

True Cadence (TC) is a music business social enterprise that provides learning, mentoring and artistic development to young people from under-resourced communities. Our programme 'Kids Create' was created as a direct response to Covid-19. It was tough for everyone and we just wanted to do our bit and use our skills for good. Over 3 weeks we put together a virtual songwriting and recording project. From practice to final production, with a few prizes along the way, the group of kids made friends, learned new skills and expressed how they felt about Covid- the parents got a break too! The kids ‘owned’ the production process, their words, feelings, performance and funky dance moves came to life as they made friends and go to know each other. Since releasing the video we’ve had lots of requests from other kids, parents and carers to run the programme again- Please support our Go Fund Me fundraising page, for £500 we can run the programme all over again for another group of kids!
