Kidi Oangoahng Animal Welfare Inc. Pohnpei

Hi my name is Lisa Barrow. I spend my time between Pohnpei in the Federated States of Micronesia and Tin Can Bay. I am the Secretary for an Animal Welfare not for profit organization in Pohnpei, and proud to the person for seven Micronesian Mutts, including Mike who was paralyzed after a shot gun wound.

Kidi Oangoahng is Pohnpeian for Yellow Dog. The aim of Kidi Oangoahng is to promote responsible pet ownership and work with Wise Owl Animal Hospital in Guam to hold veterinary clinics in Pohnpei two to three times a year. Flights in Micronesia are relatively expensive; the cost for flights alone for the vet and two vet nurses is over $3000 USD.

We also want to set up the clinic with better equipment, including an operating table and lights, a portable x ray and hopefully even a lab analyzer.
