Kidical Mass Adelaide - Demonstration Event 2023

The Kidical Mass movement is global!

Join thousands of children and their families worldwide in taking over their city streets to claim their right to ride safely.

"Kidical Mass is more than just a protest; it gives children a voice, creating a positive vision for the future, connecting the young and old across the cycling community".

Organising partners Middle Ground Motherhood, Bike Adelaide and Australian Parents for Climate Action invite you to our local event on Sunday, 24 September 2023, at 10 am, beginning and ending at Bonython Park/Tulya Wardli.

We aim to double the numbers at our annual demonstration event this year!

Our Asks

(1) Enable and activate bike riding joy

(2) Create comfortable, convenient and connected bike riding routes

(3) Support children's wellbeing and health, through bike riding (and walking/wheeling) to school.

Our Route

We begin and end our ride in Gladys Elphick Park/Narnungga (Park 25).

Cycling route details will be confirmed closer to the date and include off-road and on-road elements and short and long-ride options to suit different skill and energy levels.

After the ride, stay for a picnic and meet other local families and cyclists.

Fundraising

A demonstration event this cool doesn't come cheap!

We need help to cover the costs of organising, including:

Advertising - Poster design, print and distribution - $400

Event Photography - $250

First Aid - St Johns - $100

Misc. fees and charges - $200

Craft supplies - $100

Welcome to Country - $450

Entertainment - $500

Total funding needed = $2,000

We are open to sponsorship and other contributions to help make it happen.
